Attorney Thomas D. Murphy, Jr. Appointed to CATIC® Board of Directors

CATIC, New England’s largest domestic title insurance underwriter, is pleased to announce that Attorney Thomas D. Murphy, Jr. has been appointed to the CATIC Board of Directors. In announcing the appointment, Attorney Patricia C. Farrell, the Chairperson of the Board, noted Attorney Murphy’s strong support of the Company’s operations in Massachusetts.

Attorney Murphy is a Partner in the Chicopee, Massachusetts law firm of Murphy, McCoubrey & Auth, LLP. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Anselm College, in Manchester, New Hampshire, and a Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School, in Boston, Massachusetts. An active member of the Springfield area community, he has served on the boards of a number of organizations, including the Baystate Medical Center, Elms College, and Chicopee Savings Bank. Attorney Murphy served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army, and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Hampden County Bar Association, and a member and past President of the Chicopee Bar Association. Attorney Murphy is also a founder and chair of EstateWorks, a web-based software company that automates estate settlement for banks and law firms.
