Rocky Hill, CT (July 1, 2008) CATIC Financial, Inc. has announced the election of Attorney Patricia C. Farrell as Chairperson of its Board of Directors, as the successor to Francis J. Collins. CATIC Financial is the parent company of Rocky Hill based Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company (CATIC®), which is New England's largest domestic and only Bar-Related® title insurance underwriter.
In announcing her election, Richard J. Patterson, President of CATIC Financial, noted Attorney Farrell's many contributions to the company, including her service as a member of the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee, and as Chairperson of the Corporate Governance Committee. Attorney Farrell also serves as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of CATIC.
Attorney Farrell is a Partner in the Middletown, Connecticut law firm of Farrell, Guarino & Boccalatte, P.C. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Attorney Farrell is a member of the Connecticut Bar and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, for the District of Connecticut. She has also served as a Special Master in Family Law and as an Attorney Trial Referee for the Connecticut courts. A prior member of the Connecticut Bar Association's Board of Governors and House of Delegates, Attorney Farrell also previously served as the Secretary of the Middlesex County Bar Association.
